Barbara Grunewald

I was given the gift of ceramics over 20 years ago.
This practice has opened a whole new dimension to how I view art and object making.
I have always been a teacher and maker.
I have worked as an art teacher and photo stylist and am now enjoying this practice on a full time basis.
I am drawn to atmospheric firings and the predictable randomness that magically happens in the kiln.
I have shown my work at Lillstreet, Woman Made Gallery, Evanston Lakeshore Art Fairs and The Ravenswood Art Walks.
I have an art degree from Southern Illinois University where I majored in art education and weaving.
I love the clay community and all it has to offer, a lifetime of exploration of the medium.
